I wanted to reduce drag on a slow-turning 14mm steel shaft that was running in three solid wood bearings on an antique German fairground organ, and I wanted to do it in a minimally invasive way. The TAF142216 Needle Roller Bearings 14x22x16 worked beautifully! I used a Forstner bit to bore seats in the old wooden blocks, and then pressed in the new bearings, making sure I aligned their oil holes with the original ones. The shaft now spins freely. One thing I didn't foresee was that metal bearings by nature produce more noise than wooden bearings, but in my case the shaft turns so slowly--and the organ's music is so loud--that it's not an issue.Ordering was a cinch thanks to the detailed product specs, and my order was shipped quickly.
