Recently a recumbent cycle in my fitness center wasn't working properly and upon inspection I saw that a anti reverse bearing had gone bad. My wife ordered the parts and I say parts because the manufacturer only offers a parts replacement kit with various other bearings and shafts. The kit was 200 dollars. I received the kit and installed it noting that the only part that needed to be replaced was the anti reverse or one-way bearing. Checking VXB's site I was easily able to locate the correct bearing using the numbers off the bad bearing. This bearing shipped was just under 30 dollars. I bought a one ton benchpress which came to about sixty five dollars and pressed out the old bearing and pressed in the new bearing. So for 1/2 of the price of the kit I now have a spare part ready to install when this part needs to be replaced again. Also since I now own a bearing press my expense will only be the price of the bearing plus shipping which was as I mentioned less than 30 dollars.
